Jeb Corliss - Fearless

Apr 04, 2008 | No response | 633 Views

I watched this documentary tonight and was struck back at what kind of life Jeb Corliss has had. Between being a loner for 20 years of his life and seeing countless of his friends die at the hands of base jumping he still keeps things together and continues to jump. He has jumped thousands of times and is now attempting a new stunt which will see him trying to jump out of a plane and land without a parachute. Pretty wild stuff.

I like his view on life, that dieing is garanteed so why not make the time we do have here worth it. If someone isn’t afraid of dieing its Jeb.

I’ve been lazy with the updates as I’ve been hard at work with the other site that I’ve mentioned I’m working on. I’m again not going to say anything more about it other than the fact that I need help with putting together some of the content. If you are a member of the AST (Above Top Secret) site then you are probably best for the task. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

MS Queen Victoria (QV) is a cruise ship in the Cunard Line fleet, named after Queen Victoria.

The Queen Victoria is of the same basic design as other Vista class passenger vessels, though slightly longer and more in keeping with Cunard’s interior style. At 90,000 tons, she is the second largest Cunard ship ever built, after the RMS Queen Mary 2. The QV’s facilities include seven restaurants, thirteen bars, three swimming pools, a ballroom, and a theatre. [source]

I just installed the new Wordpress 2.5 upgrade and from my first impression it looks pretty beautiful. The entire admin panel has been updated and is looking sexier than ever.

Wordpress Admin Panel

I want to concentrate on really promoting the site as opposed to being super consistent with posts. I’ve found that automating a couple of posts in advance has really lowered the amount of time that I need to commit to the site on a daily basis. The Wallpaper of the Day as well as the Learning Something On… articles should become a more regular occurrence. I want to build the readership of the blog as opposed to promoting the site via search engines. It has worked well thus far and has enabled me to generate 1500+ page views per day but it gives almost all the attention to a group of posts that I personally don’t view as important.

With this said I invite you to subscribe to the site in whatever means necessary (RSS reader, Google Reader etc…). You can access my feed here.

Also: I’ve been messing around with Photoshop over the last couple of days in an attempt to regain my once basic Photoshop skills. Things are coming along nicely with the help of some great tutorials. You can see my latest masterpiece in my flickr feed (here).
