Oh Monday
Mar 26, 2007 | I My Life | 558 ViewsI was pretty happy to wake up this morning and realize that the typical overcast, muggy Oshawa mornings have returned from their winter break. No more snow left here or the rest of the GTA. From the looks of it winter it gone for another year and we can now start looking forward to the wonderful summer!!! Surprisingly I didn’t get up at the normal 2pm today but instead got up early and headed into campus two hours before my first class… I’m wondering why as well but definitely makes for a more productive day considering I actually get to experience the morning.
Two tests tomorrow, Economics and Collaborative Leadership, and then Accounting midterm on Wednesday to top it all off. Once those three tests are finished up it should be pretty smooth sailing for a couple of days. Hopefully gonna make the trip down to Hamilton for a couple of days this weekend to visit Hannah. If I’m not able to make it down this week I won’t be able to see her until after exams which would be pretty terrible.
I have yet to talk about Justin.tv yet and I was holding back from talking about it because I figured the service would drop after a couple of days but now at just over week it seems to be withstanding the test. Two days ago the site had 36,000 unique visitors login and watch Justin Kan live out his life. There has been many attempts at this before but because of bandwidth limitations it would last a most a couple of days before they had to shutter down. I am not sure what type of infrastructure Justin.tv is running on but it sure is reliable and hasn’t been down for me yet. The potential these types of applications have may not yet be visible but if a few guys in an apartment are able to rig together a scalable service like this what is stopping everyone from soon being wired all the time and broadcasted on the net. Pretty good way to see what friends are up to. Facebook 3.0!!
Little update on Matt Harding. I was lucky enough to get into contact with him and he may infact be making a stop over in Toronto, Ontario. Woot! Now I may not be able to make it to the event but was rather surprised to see his Canadian stop, although most likely a stop over for an international flight. The CN Tower would make a good addition and would be your first Canadian stop.

Did you see the video where the cops raided that guy’s house? Hilarious!

hahaha ya, they thought someone had been stabbed or something eh lol, the next day someone also called in a fire at the apartment… 6 fire trucks show up. I called his cell the other day but its pretty much destroyed now. I guess thats what happens when your smart enough to put your cell phone number on a website that thousands of geeks are watching.

JEFFY! You can cross off macroeconomics to study tonight! I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it! ahaha, that means more slacking tonight!
I like the changes to the site, first of all: can’t touch the pink (gangster). Also your “what i’m doing” as if facebook wasn’t letting people stalk you! Your “Jeff’s 2008 Trip” is genius, I’m gonna make one because I need to get back to Cancun for another spring break!

Oh! Never remind me about studying economics. It is not as easy as writing economics.
