Radiohead - Reckoner
Nov 02, 2008 | No response | 133 ViewsThis is my favorite Radiohead song right now. It is off their new album In Rainbows. If you are a fan of the band then I am sure you have already had the chance to listen to it but if you havn’t heard the song or the band before I would really recommend you check it out. It’s pretty slow, chill and relaxed.
Sarah Palin Prank Call
Nov 01, 2008 | No response | 561 ViewsThis is a prank call done today by two guys from a radio station in Montreal. Some way they managed to lie there way into a phone conversation with Sarah Palin posing as the French president Nicolas Sarkozy. Pretty hilarious stuff. More info.
Field Fire in Spruce Grove
Oct 28, 2008 | No response | 208 ViewsWhile Andrew and I were working today we noticed a large, black smoke cloud billowing in the distance. As we got further into Spruce Grove we realized that it was a field on fire just south of the town. I used my iPhone and Qik to snap a little video clip of the smoke. Nothing to impressive but more of an excuse for me to use Qik.
If you have an iPhone and want more info on Qik check out there website here.
Settling In
Oct 16, 2008 | No response | 254 ViewsIt has been a little over a month since my arrival in Edmonton. Starting to get to know the city a little better and the apartment is coming along nicely. We have moved out of the living room and our beds are finally in a bedroom. With the help of Linda, a co-worker, we were able to pick up way more than we thought imaginable. Between Ikea, Home Depot and some other stores we have been able to furnish most of the place for around $1000.
We havn’t had all that much opportunity to check out what the city has to offer because of our work schedule but last weekend we made it to the Alberta Aviation Museum, only about a fifteen minute walk away. It is not nearly as impressive as the Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa but it is still worth a look if planes interest you at all. I havn’t been able to find my camera for the last little while so I was forced to use the iPhone’s camera. Not amazing but much better than most camera phones.

Some Older Tunes
Oct 07, 2008 | No response | 298 ViewsI was browsing through my Anywhere.FM playlists and came across a couple songs I havn`t heard in a long time. I would imagine I called each of these my favorite song at one point or another.
My taste in music includes pretty much everything you could imagine. If you have a song you think I might like then please post the name or even a link (youtube). I love listening to other peoples music so try me.

Oct 05, 2008 | No response | 327 ViewsFor anyone who enjoyed the first movie, Zeitgeist 2 Addendum was released a couple of days ago and is available for free from the zeitgeist website.
I am writing this from my iPhone so it’s a little different updating it this way. If you have a wordpress blog you can update your blog from your touch or iPhone. The app is available on the app store.
Edmonton, Alberta
Sep 28, 2008 | 1 response | 362 ViewsSo I have now been living in Edmonton, Alberta for about 2 weeks now so here are some thoughts. The weather is starting to get a little cooler here now so I am going to have to get some money together and do some shopping if I want any hope of staying warm this winter. Apparently they have pretty cold winters here.
We moved into our apartment on our second day after spending the night in the airport. We only ended up getting a one bedroom apartment but considering we didn’t have all that much stuff to put in it its alright for now. We hope to upgrade to a two bedroom high rise once we get a little more established.
Andrew and I both started working only a couple of days after our arrival and the hours have been fairly long (10-13 hours per day) but the workload should slowly become less and less once we are able to catch up with the work that wasn’t complete the previous two weeks (workers quit).
I have been posting photos to flickr and you can find all the ones from Edmonton in this set.
Also, check out this song by Bubba Sparxxx called Comin Round (mp3)
